CLICK FOR REGISTRATION FORM: ![]() Ballet NewsGala Performance Photos HERE A Letter from the Director I hope everyone saw that the beautiful CAC Ballet Christmas Tree, "Cinderella's Ball," won first place at the Festival of Trees! A big THANK YOU to Challis Bower who decorated the tree this year! She may have had a little help from one of Santa's little elves, daughter, Sayda. Classes are resuming in January with the regular scheduled time and day. We will also have special rehearsals for soloists on Tuesday beginning January 12, 2010. We will all go to "Cinderella's Ball" on Sunday, May 2, 2010! This year's performance will be spectacular with beautiful costumes, prancing ponies pulling the magical carriage and dancing candies! Part of ballet training is learning to choreograph. We are thrilled when our students use their imagination to choreograph a ballet or segment for one of our ballets. This year senior, Emily Elder and junior Linly Lloyd did just that for the Birthday ball! Talent abounds with our students! We will have the first of two Guild meetings at 5:15 p.m. on Monday, February 8, 2010 to discuss the spring program. Meetings are short but important. Mark your calendar and attend! Thanks to volunteers who are now lined up! Jane Geimer accepted chairmanship for our costumes. If you can sew, please offer to help! Many hands make the work fly by! Amy Kissell is chairman for the flower sales. We will need a chairman for props. Ted Smith, Wells Community Theater and Creative Arts board member, has helped us with scenery and large props. We are so fortunate to have his experience and expertise! The performance plan means lots of work on everyone's part. It also means NO MISSED LESSONS or REHEARSALS for our students unless they are ill. THANK YOU Susy Jones for teaching Miss Janiece's two classes while she was doing her internship in Michigan. Miss Janiece will be teaching her classes once again beginning in January. I hope some of you had a chance to see another of our senior dancers, Leslie Witkamp in "It's a Wonderful Life" at Pulse Opera House in Warren. She had the lead! Such talent! Acting is another part of our ballet training! I am so proud of all of our students! Beautiful dancers, lovely actresses, excellent students! Let's all look forward to spring flowers and Cinderella's Ball. Gracefully, Ms. Beth RETURN HOME |
Welcome Since
1976, the Creative Arts Council School of Ballet has taught the
fundamentals of classical ballet to children and adults of Wells
County. More than 950 students have benefited from the confidence,
grace and poise that the study of ballet instills for a lifetime. ![]() Children
may begin "Creative Expression" class as early as age 3 1/2. Then, they
progress through Pre-Ballet, Beginning Ballet, and on to Intermediate
Ballet and Advance Ballet. ![]() Because of the intense focus required in the learning process of ballet, the faculty encourages students to lead a balanced lifestyle, with adequate rest, time for leisure, enjoyment of school activities, a healthy diet and the support of their family. Ballet Guild An organization for parents Students
who have involved parents or caring family members are more likely to
succeed and reap the many benefits of ballet training. The Ballet Guild
is an organization for parents, family members and ballet patrons who
perform needful tasks to support the school and students. Guild members
volunteer their time as phone messengers, carpoolers, center sitters,
publicity, costuming, and a variety of other important duties.
